What We Build and Fix in Molalla
Molalla’s downtown has some of the oldest residential brick in south Clackamas County, with chimneys going back to the early 1900s that usually need full mortar replacement by now. That older-home work is one half of what we do. The other half is rural: the farms and acreage around town need block for barn footings, shop foundations, and equipment walls, and that’s bread-and-butter for us. Newer subdivisions are adding patios and outdoor fireplaces, and the hillier south-and-east lots near the foothills need retaining walls. One crew covers the whole range.

Brick, Stone, Block, and Concrete in Molalla
One crew handles the project from estimate to cleanup, residential or rural. We get out to Molalla regularly by way of Canby, and we stay reachable after the work’s done. If you’re not sure what the job needs, whether it’s an old chimney or a barn footing, the free estimate is where we figure it out. Here’s our approach to each material, with the main office a call away.
Brick Masonry
Molalla’s downtown brick goes back over a century, and sometimes a chimney that old is past saving with repointing alone. In those cases new chimney installation is the smarter spend than pouring money into masonry that won’t hold. We assess each one and tell you straight which way to go. When the firebox or hearth is the issue, we handle fireplace installation and repair too. On newer homes, we build brick patios, walkways, and surrounds. Molalla’s higher elevation means more freeze-thaw than the valley floor, so material choice matters on anything exposed.

Stone Masonry
Stone fits Molalla’s rural, foothill setting, and we build a fair amount of it. The south and east sides of town climb toward the Cascades, so retaining walls come up often. For outdoor living, stone patios, fire pits, outdoor fireplaces, and flagstone walkways are going into the newer neighborhoods. We work in flagstone, basalt, and manufactured veneer, and the natural look suits the country backdrop. Veneer on the house, garden walls, and accent features round it out.

Block Masonry
The farmland around Molalla means block is in steady demand. We pour block foundations for barns, shops, garages, and additions, build retaining walls on sloped ground, and put up perimeter walls and fences. The work here runs bigger than in suburban towns: full barn footings, large equipment buildings, tall walls on working land, alongside the usual residential foundations. Block is the most affordable material for that scale, which is exactly why it makes sense on a farm.
